Denise, an interior designer, and Ping- a hobbist photographer who works for google and enjoys shooting landscape and travel- both share a taste in modern and chic fashion. Many photographers shoot within the Walt Disney Concert Hall, however the parking lot across from the concert hall offers an amazing frontal view of this landmark architecture as well as the downtown corporate buildings. It’s definitely a great way to start if you choose to shoot at this location.
Denise and Ping loved their engagement photos so much they insisted that I shoot for their wedding day along with the photographer they had already contracted. However, I had convinced them to honor their word with the photographer they had met before meeting with me… there goes my opportunity to go to Bali! Denise and Ping had their destination wedding in Bali followed by their honeymoon, of course!
Take a peek at their engagement photos below. Enjoy!
P.S. Denise and Ping~ Thank you for choosing me as your engagement photographer. Now, I want to see some photos from your Bali wedding and honeymoon!!!

I finally had a little time to work on this set of landscape photos that I shot when I traveled to Nagoya, Japan with Annie last year- right after I shot Magen and Louie’sweddingin Maui, Hawaii. This is my first blog post that’s non-related to wedding and engagement photography! Annie and I both agreed to not overwhelm ourselves with work all the time and put aside more leisure time for us to do things that we like and travel! That’s great news for those of you follow my blog- you’ll get to see more photos of things that we’re doing for fun and interesting places we’ve been to!
Japan is a special place, somewhat like China. The reason we chose to visit Nagoya-which is the contryside of the Japan vs Tokio- is because we both wanted a more relaxed adventure rather than spending time in the city and shopping . And for those of you who like hot springs, Nagoya got the best ones in the country. Also, both Annie and I have not seen snow before so Nagoya was the perfect fit.
Because photos always look better with “people” in it, I decided to end this post with a shot of Annie.
PS. Now that I’ve said it aloud, Annie will really kick me off the computer and make us start traveling more.

Finally, here are some of the photos from Jayden’s photo shoot. As I’ve stated in the previous post, I know the family from two years ago when I shot the engagement photos of Chrissy and Jeff. Jayden interacts so well with his baby cousin, Sharon. They are absolutely adorable together. You will see Sharon trying to hug Jayden while she tries to not fall over herself in the video. Jayden loves his plastic, multi-colored, air-filled cube and his ducky stuff animal- it makes him smile! As you’ve probably guessed, we tried to use the two toys to make him smile for the photos… did it work? You be the judge.

Phonetrya and Lozady celebrated their wedding at the Diamond Bar Center. The Grand Ballroom of the venue overlooks the San Gabriel Valley. At night time, the outside of the center is a good location for photos with its lit surroundings, colorful gardens, and streams. Enjoy the photos from their wedding day!

Chrissy and Jeff is a very genuine and sweet couple. We met two years ago when they came to me for wedding engagement photos at the Los Angeles Arboretum, Newport Beach Performing Arts Center, and in Laguna Beach. The shoot lasted two days and we got some amazing photos from it! One of their engagement photos received the WPPI Award of Excellence in 2009.
Now, say hello to Chrissy and Jeff’s 6 month old little boy, Jayden! When Jeff called me to photograph Jayden, I was thrilled. It would be my first time meeting their first born. Jayden is such an adorable baby- he was showered with attention and love by his parents and even by his aunt and uncle who arrived at the house later during the photoshoot. We decided to start the shoot at the front of the house, then worked our way into Jayden’s bedroom, playroom, and lastly the pool in the backyard. Jayden’s cousin, baby Sharon, was also present at the shoot. The two are irresistably cute with each other!
Here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come… enjoy!

Karen and Kavin, an adorable couple, visited Crystal Cove for their engagement shoot. They even brought their mountain bikes for the shoot! Although we got kicked out by the guard, but we still got some great engagement photos! Check it out.

Patty and Jason’s engagement shoot went extremely well. Viceroy Hotel complimented their personality very well- modern chic and sophisticated. You will notice the great accents in the lounge and hotel rooms- absolutely great for photos! Check out the couple’s photos from the engagement shoot.

Annie and Peter had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The venue has a stunning view of the ocean. The reception was held in a Spanish-style clubhouse at PVGC. Take a look at the last photo for an idea of the clubhouse interior. Below are some photos from Annie and Peter’s special day!

Joe and Helen was a pleasure to shoot! I took them to Santa Monica. Despite the heavy winds and COLD COLD weather, we were able to get some great shots out of it. Joe and Helen were such troopers! We definitely had a blast. Here are some photos from the engagement shoot. Enjoy!
